    mR. oWEN rOSS, Principal

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!  I am privileged to have the opportunity to serve as Principal of Curtis Elementary School and I am honored to work with our students, staff and parents.  I am looking forward to meeting all of you and working in partnership to ensure a successful school year for your children and the community.   Our staff is committed to helping each child grow, academically, socially and emotionally.

My primary goal as principal is to provide each student a safe, secure learning environment that is rigorous, effective, and engaging.   I ask for your support and participation by encouraging your child to read every night, monitor their homework and progress, and asking your child to share what they have learned at school each day.

We invite you to become an active participant in our school community by volunteering, joining our PTO, attending English Language Advisory Committee meetings, School Site Council meetings, Coffee with the Principal meetings or our S.T.E.A.M. and literacy events.   This year we will be opening our Curtis Parent Center as well as participating in the Family Leadership Institute.

I am very excited to be the newest member of the Curtis Colt family and to continue on the path of success.  I look forward to working with each of you and your children as we work toward an academically successful school year.

    Sincerely,

    Mr. Owen Ross
